Green Tourism Awards
Sustainability and green issues are now very much mainstream, with governments, businesses and individuals all involved. Tourism, as one of the main economic drivers in the UK, has its part to play. That is where the Green Tourism Business Scheme (GTBS) comes in.
The GTBS is the national sustainable tourism certification scheme for the UK. Originally developed in partnership with Visit Scotland, it is now the only certification scheme validated by Visit Britain, through the International Centre for Responsible Tourism (ICRT)
All the hotels in the Group have opted to join Green Tourism - and we are pleased to announce that they have all achieved the Silver Award.
Suffolk Carbon Charter
A unique and innovative scheme to recognise carbon reduction measures in Suffolk's small and medium businesses.

Pride of Britain
Formed in 1982, the consortium enables like-minded hoteliers to pool their resources to reach a wider audience of discerning customers. Membership is limited to a maximum of 50 properties, and it is the members themselves who decide whether a new applicant is suitable to belong to the consortium, following an anonymous inspection and a ballot. The Swan at Lavenham is delighted to have been chosen to join this elite collection.
